• GOLF 7: UI DESIGN »DRIVING EXPERIENCE« On the campaign website for the new Golf we developed an interactive driving experience as desktop, iPad and iPhone version. At stopping points of the film the user is enabled to adjust the golf 7´s color, rims and car seat material and to continue the film with his individual configuration.

  • PERSONAL WORK: SHORTFILM »RUN SFC« RUN SFC was produced by the photographer and designer ROELER and by myself. On our trip we were overwhelmed by the beauty on the streets of San Francisco. Anytime and anywhere we explored the city, we always discovered people and touching little stories. This piece of artwork shows the people as a part of this beauty. It is a mixture of photography, video, a little motion design and perfectly matched music, which was made by the sound designer Christos Zarampoukas. Have much fun watching our little road movie, which was made with much love and passion.

  • VOLKSWAGEN: WEBSPECIAL »GOLF GTI CABRIOLET« For the launch of the first Golf GTI Cabriolet I created an international web special for feature communication. The web special was rolled out on volkswagen´s platforms in Germany, Spain and Italy to mention some of the countries.

    With a control panel the user navigates a stage on which different views of the vehicle can be seen. To bring more of a dynamic feel to the static images I included a paralax effect. By simply clicking hotspot icons the user gets more information about exterior and interior features. After clicking the activated layer builds up and is animated with honeycomb-like tiles, which were derived from the typical front grille of the GTI model.

  • VOLKSWAGEN: GOLF GTI CABRIOLET APP »RACE FACE CREATOR« Wanna look like a convertible driver? With a fun App on Facebook and mobile devices we wanted users to turn their faces into "race faces" simply by taking a photo with the webcam, uploading a picture or choosing one of their Facebook albums. After fitting in the portrait into a mask and choosing hair color and length, the app would generate a race face portrait of the user sitting in the first Golf GTI Cabriolet.

    For the technical execution we shooted 10 models with different hair lengths, colors and facial expressions. In the post production we extracted the hair and mouthes for the app.

  • VOLKSWAGEN »FACEBOOK APP up!LIZER« Before the release of the Volkswagen up! a screensaver was produced. In the screensaver models of the up! teaser film jumped to the beat of the campaign music – like a human equalizer. The screensaver could be personalized by users on Facebook and afterwards be downloaded on the up! website.

  • ARTE: CAMPAIGN IDEA »IMAGINE...« Arte is a Franco-German tv network. Defining itself as European culture channel, it mainly aims at promoting culture and arts at a high quality standard. The audience of Arte is curious about what´s happening beyond mainstream and cultural boundaries. Watching Arte means looking at things from a different angle.

    IDEA
    We´ll show that ARTE fires its audience´ imagination. The reason why is, that seeing the world from a different angle broadens one´s mind.

    EXECUTION
    Thinking of the authentic image of ARTE, real street photography perfectly fits to the visual execution – completely different from what you´d know from staged photography in the advertising world. The aim is provoking real emotions: While being portrayed by a street photographer, the person is confronted with shocking, amusing or astonishing facts and quotes referring to the TV program. In the ad we pick up the quotes within a headline mechanic: "Imagine…". To be extremely focussed on the emotions, the portraits should be in black and white and in front of a plain background.

  • ARTE: CAMPAIGN IDEA »MISSED....« Arte is a Franco-German tv network. Defining itself as European culture channel, it mainly aims at promoting culture and arts at a high quality standard. The audience of Arte is curious about what´s happening beyond mainstream and cultural boundaries. The client had the problem, that the image of Arte was too intellectual and heavy to watch. The mainstream audience wouldn´t zap to Arte, if they wanted to relax watching TV. My team came up with an idea and I thought of how we could visualize the idea in way, that it would be a solution to the problem.

    IDEA
    When you talk about, that you have missed something, it´s always clear you regret to have missed something really good. We´ll play on this association.

    EXECUTION
    We pick out topics, tv programs and films the audience has missed. The visual could be a famous musician, an actor, a trend or a bizarre situation to prove that Arte´s programme doesn´t mainly consist of heavy intellectual content. On top seeing what you have missed, increases curiosity for what´s coming up next. This enhances Arte´s attraction as a channel, that also can relate to the mainstream audience.

  • OTTO: FULL CAMPAIGN CREATION »LAST MINUTE« As one of the worlds largest mail-order businesses OTTO has been established within the range of fashion, furnishing and technical devices.

    Our briefing was to create a full campaign, which focussed on the 24-hour-delivery-service. Market research had pointed out, that especially women used this service to order fashion shortly before they went on holidays. It was the summer campaign and therefore my idea was to pick out the airport as a central theme, showing women with different fashion styles on their way to the terminal. Starting with an arrival and ending at the departure terminal the various women showing up, appeal to different target groups. By renaming the "24-hour-delivery-service" in to the "last minute service" we created a relation between the visual world and the service itself. My work included conception, art direction and execution of the basic idea in TV and online advertising (rich media banners, homepage events and Facebook special).

  • HANSGROHE: TOUCHSCREEN »RAINDANCE« As a sanitary fittings manufacturer and shower head and hand-held shower attachment supplier, Hansgrohe is known for it´s innovative shower trends and bathroom solutions as well as a high quality standard and design.

    For a trade fair I created an interactive touchscreen application with moving image and slomotion presenting the Raindance shower system. My work included the conceptual design, art direction and design.

  • MISEREOR: AWARDFILM »DIGITAL ROBIN HOOD« The basic idea of the web guerilla campaign "Digital Robin Hood" was, taking money from big companies and give it to those who are in need by using Google AdSense. My task was to bring the idea to life by telling the story of "Digital Robin Hood" and explaining how the fundraising worked. After developing a storyboard I directed and executed the motion design. I combined animated infographics with the website, carrying forward the rough silhouette and illustrational style of the campaign. This award film was completed by the wonderful fairy-tale like voice.

  • YOUTUBE: EVENT & AWARD FILM »SECRET TALENTS« This humorous contest was hosted by the German comedian Christian Ulmen and called users up to submit a video revealing their secret talents – let it be comedy, music, dance or just nonsense for fun. As one of my first jobs at Kolle Rebbe, We created the YouTube channel, banners, admission tickets and posters for the final award show in Berlin. Concluding, I have done the conceptual design and animation for this award video, which was submitted at the ADC Festival.
